Getting back to Normal with the Weekly Menu

Well, we are 5 days into the New Year.  We celebrate Epiphany this weekend and then our holiday season is officially over.

The decorations get packed away for another year.  The pantry and refrigerator get cleaned out and restocked with food that will help our resolution of taking better care of ourselves.  But....not until after this weekend......

This weekend we are still celebrating Christmas in this house.  Our Traverse City family will arrive tonight and we will host one final family dinner for the season tomorrow evening.

Then on Sunday we will go to Frank's sister's house where she is hosting her final family dinner for the season.

Monday will find us back to normal life.  Our days will be more relaxed. There will be no dinner parties to plan or attend.  Our routine returns...Melody on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Choir on Thursday.

On Friday we are celebrating Doug's birthday. Amy is making a family dinner at their house.

As for this blog....there are lots of events coming up all week long. I start with a trip to Italy tomorrow and finish with a trip to Sonoma next Saturday.  In between I will be sharing a new recipe each day so please stop by, check them out and let me know how your New Year is starting off.

    1. Yes, taking them down is not near as much fun as putting them up.

  3. Ooooo...Saturday's dinner sounds like a winner...I just adore italian food! The rest of the week sounds great also. You know, as much as I just love the holiday season, it's always nice to get back to normal in January.

  4. I always enjoy reading your menus for the week. It usually gives me an idea to add to my own menu planning.
